About
Hello, my name is Rachael. I am on the wrong side of 40 but I don’t let that bother me in the slightest.
I have four wonderful children and a very patient husband who supports me in every path life shows us. I must mention also that I have two mega fans in the form of miniature labradoodles, Ruby & Bailey. They must be the best cheerleaders a human could possibly ask for. They never judge or criticise, and always available for a chat or a shoulder to cry on. All they ask for in return is love, food and walks, which we love doing together in the Perthshire area.
I live in Perthshire, it is a far cry from a previous life which I have fought hard to turn around. I am a very determined and my husband will agree stubborn woman, but these have got me to where I am today. When I put my mind to a project, I am 100% focused.
My background is signwriting, I studied this after leaving school in the 90’s, I loved it and worked for my father in the family business until I started a family. I then went into customer service where I learned some very important life and work skills. I have been in the customer service industry over 25 years. This has taught me to value and adopt communication skills.
Which brings me to present day, 2 years ago I as many others did contract Covid 19, the vaccine had not come out at that point. My husband got it first then myself so we were bed bound together. The thing is he was starting to show signs of recovering, as for me I was getting worse to the point I ended up in hospital. I would like to point out that this was the most frightening thing I have experienced, and I can tell you I have experienced some hair-raising obstacles in my life. After leaving hospital my recovery has been long as I was diagnosed with Long Covid. It gave me time to evaluate my life and the direction I want my life to go.
So here I am with my business, my dream, my dream for my family and our future. Something to call my own. I have always been a keen sewer and with my eye for design I have my Embroidery Business. The Bobbin Bee. I have dedicated my spare time to learning the industry and have spent 100’of hours learning and still learning the skills relating to this beautiful art. I believe that we never stop learning and we should never give up learning as there is so much we still don’t know.
